We’ve changed our name

As of July 11, 2012, Academics for Higher Education and Development changed its name to Academics Without Borders Canada. Supporters and Board Members told us the new name allows more flexibility in presenting stories and sharing what we do, and that the new name is easier to read and understand.

Our mission remains the same:

• Support academic institutions in developing countries to build capacity in higher education.
• Respond to the resource needs of host institutions by sending academic volunteers to collaborate on new and existing projects.
• Participate in a full spectrum academic and administrative aspects of tertiary education – from teaching courses to supporting the development of non-academic activities.
