AWBC provides skilled personnel to help build and improve higher education at post-secondary institutions in the developing world. The criteria below have been established to ensure AWBC provides volunteers that can make these key contributions.

Academic Personnel

Faculty

Two Year College and CEGEP Faculty: Master’s degree and five years teaching experience

University Faculty: Doctorate—except in fields in which this is not required, such as theatre arts, dance, and visual arts—and five years teaching experience

New PhDs: Doctorate and three years teaching experience, which can include work as a graduate student assistant

Academic Staff

Three years experience

Academic Administrators

Three years experience

Non-Academic Professionals

Professional degree and five years experience
