Volunteer Opening at the University of Makeni, Sierra Leone

Project Date: Two months, starting May 2012.  Second phase to be determined

The project is to upgrade the ability of faculty members at the University of Makeni so that they are able to teach primary school teachers how to teach science.  The volunteer should have expertise in this area.   The focus is on the needs of teachers, and the volunteer will offer seminars to Makeni lecturers in the subjects of: (1)Teaching methods, (2) Communications Skills, (3) Science Education.  The courses will be taught in English.
