Centre for Disability Studies at UIN-Suka celebrates 4th anniversary

AWBC congratulates the Centre for Disability Studies and Services (PSLD) at UIN-Suka in Indonesia on its fourth anniversary. AWBC volunteer Marion Steff spent a year there from 2009-’10 helping grow the work of the Centre. PSLD celebrated in May with an array of activities—a march, a movie, a seminar and a blind soccer competition (the winner received the Rector’s Cup).

AWBC is proud to support sustainable initiatives such as this one at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The Centre has added to the university’s institutional capacity and will have a continuing impact on the opportunities for people with disabilities in Indonesia.
